Mel1 Creative was founded in 2019 by Jamel Malone, a Kansas City-based creative with a background in videography, photography, graphic design, and social media management. What started as a passion project grew into a full creative production company rooted in storytelling and community.

Our work has taken us everywhere from wedding ceremonies and nonprofit events to brand campaigns and documentary film. We have partnered with organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, Yelp KC, Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, the Black Community Fund, Skratch Bakery, and Stay Snatched. Our content has been featured on Fox 4 News, Prime Video, KMBC 9 News, and across social media.

In 2021, Mel1 Creative was part of the creative team behind 'From Paseo to Pembroke,' a documentary that highlighted the heart of Kansas City.
